Prospective Students

Campus

Graduate students are the lifeblood of Professor Bernardo’s program. He is particularly interested in motivated students who have strong quantitative skills and an aptitude for data analysis and interpretation. Financial support is available through half-time research assistantships and fellowships. Because these funds are very limited, the number of applications for Professor Bernardo’s program typically exceeds the number of assistantships or fellowships available.

Students interested in pursuing an M.S. or Ph.D. degree with Professor Bernardo are encouraged to learn about the Plant Breeding/Molecular Genetics specialization in the Applied Plant Sciences graduate program at the University of Minnesota, and to contact Professor Bernardo directly by email.
